I.  GBM(s) <- whaaat?
Yes, that’s right, there’s TWO!  Come check out Kabayanihan’s GBM as well as KP’s GBM all in the same day!

“For Love and Basketball”
Be a part of KP CORE’s first basketball tournament fundraiser!  Gather together a group of 2 or 3 of your friends (teams can be coed) and we’ll pair you up with a group of San Diego high school students to compete in the tournament for a prize of awesomeness (TBA)! You don’t have to be like Mike; just come to have FUN to FUNdraise for KP CORE’s outreach events such as High School Conference and High School Shadow Days!

When:  Saturday, November 22, 2008 @ 9:30am – 2pm
Where:  Muir Basketball Court
Who:  You and your friends (seriously).

III. JFAV (Justice for Filipino-American Veterans)
For those who don’t know, the bill that was proposed to Congress in order to give Filipino WWII veterans equity and recognition for their hard work was shot down October 17th.
The JFAV march will be will be held Saturday Nov. 8, 2008 over at Los Angeles
Please don’t sleep on this.  It has been a long and difficult struggle for our Filipino Veterans and it’s only right they get the same recognition and equity as others who have served in the war!

IV. KP VOTER INFO NIGHT!
What: Joe Six Pack Plumber! What doya really think?! KP Voter Info Night–Props, candidates and Everything in Between.

Where: Cross Cultural Center 6-8pm.
When: Thursday, October 30th

(sorry in advance for the tina-fey-as-sarah-palin obsession)

Are the “whoseywhatsits” of this election confusing you? Do you get lost in the mumbo jumbo of the prop language? What do the candidates really stand for?? Come out to KP’s Voter Night where you’ll get to talk and learn about politics on your own level. We’ll break down props, compare candidate positions and last but not least, have a LIVE Question and Answer/Debate between Republican and Democrat speakers vying for YOUR vote!

Not to mention, this is all jampacked with snacks, easy voter guides, multimedia and a whole lot of enthusiasm. Check it out!

V.  Magkasama
Magkasama is just 2 1/2 weeks away!  Come celebrate our first BIG EVENT of the year!

When:  Saturday, November 15, 2008  from 10am – 5pm
Where:  Student Services Center

Magkasama Meetings take place immediately after GBM, so if you want to get involved, come and check it out.

Our beloved Academic Advisor Raechelle will be out of town this Sunday, so I’LL BE LEADING STUDY SESSION!  WOO!
Come get smart with me at Geisel, S&E Basement from 10am-6pm!  Bring your books, music, and brains so we can whoop these midterms, ya dig?  See yall there!
