UCSD Kaibigang Pilipino Presents The 19th Annual Pilipino Cultural Celebration:

BUKAS

In Filipino “bukas” means “tomorrow,” as in the future, as in the product of what occurs in the present which it itself is shaped by the past. Each character, through their own narrative is reconciling with the idea of what could possibly become of their future given their circumstances. Delving further, “bukas” can also mean “open” as in something that is being opened. The stories intertwined in our production display instances of opening. Join us in opening perspectives, opening hearts, and opening opportunities for change and growth.
