High School Conference is a full-day event made entirely for high school students to educate them about opportunities open to them after high school. With interactive and educational workshops, spirit rallies, a talent show case, and facilitated group discussions, this conference is the perfect opportunity for students to learn from college students, to network with other high school students, to understand their cultural identity, and all the while have fun showing off their pride, energy, and spirit.
This year's High School Conference theme is The Good Life; Where Your Education Awaits! When people think about the good life, they think about nice cars, jewelry, and nothing to worry about. Their life is made; but how do you obtain The Good Life?
Two words: Higher Education. KP wants to emphasize the importance of going to college and getting a good education, providing yourself and family a good life.
In this HSC we want to stress that higher education is the first step to many roads to take to secure your spot in that good life. Higher education brings research opportunities, internships, and opportunities for employment in the field of your dreams. It provides great experiences, the chance to try new things, long lasting friendships with people you never would have met. HSC exposes students to these opportunities through workshops, FUNcilitator groups, key note speakers, a talent show, and much much more.
