What motivated you to run for KP Board, and what makes you stay in this space?

Last spring quarter, I realized that I only had one more year in KP, and so I ran for chair because I wanted to make a difference.  A big goal of mine was (and still is) to bring balance to KP via space (social, political, academic, cultural, experience) and show people that it’s possible to be involved and still do well in school (hence the term “student leader”).  I also want to inspire other people to get involved just like KP-ers before me inspired me to come out to KP events and eventually run for board.  All of this, plus the friendships and memories that I’ve made, keep me in this space.

What is your favorite KP memory?

Hands down, my favorite KP memory would be my very first PCC (Katinig: A Musaic in F Minor, aka the lost PCC).  Nothing can ever beat your first PCC and all the memories you make during practice, tech week, and the actual show itself.

If you could be any other board position, what would it be and why?

I would definitely want to be a co-cultural coordinator.  I was really close to running for a co-co position during my first year on board, but I decided to run for operations manager instead because I wanted to be more involved with performing in PCC instead of planning it.  However, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to coordinate my favorite KP event. I know it would be stressful, but it would be totally worth it.

What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?

My favorite movie is Moulin Rouge because it’s all about LOVE and has awesome music.  And of course, my favorite TV show is GLEE!!!  It’s one of the few shows I actually make time for every single week.  The songs are addicting, too.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?

NEW YORK CITY.  That way, I could experience life on the east coast, watch Broadway shows, and get to wear cute jackets when it’s cold (they actually have seasons there!  haha).

If a genie granted you three wishes, what would you wish for?

ONE: to get into all the law schools that i’m applying to for fall 2010 (UCLA, USC, Loyola, Davis, Hastings, Santa Clara)

TWO: to have a closet always full of the latest clothes, shoes, and accessories

THREE: to buy my parents a hella nice house and be able to pay them back for everything they’ve done for me
